My Story

Your skin is the largest organ of the body and the average person has around 300 million skin cells. The British Skin Foundation funds research into all types of skin conditions, acne being one of them. As a female who has battled with cystic acne and knowing others who have struggled with various skin conditions, it only seemed right to select the British Skin Foundation.

My goal is to run a marathon in the near future and I am calling this fundraiser my mission possible. This year, I am challenging myself and taking part in Norwich Triathlon. I really believe that any challenge can be achieved if you have the right mindset.

Fitness is a safe space for me, it fuels my motivation and confidence. 70% of people have visible skin conditions or scars which affect their confidence.

I wasn't aware how much my acne had affected me and it has taken me a long time to be able to talk about this topic openly. My friends and family know how challenging this time was and I will always be grateful for the support network I have around me.

If you ever think something isn't possible, think again, take each day as it comes and push yourself out of your comfort zone.
